Ilyas Chaudhry Accuses Former MNA Abid Raza Kotla of Corruption at Public Gathering

Metro53 - GUJRAT (Web Desk): Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) MNA Chaudhry Ilyas has launched a sharp criticism of his political rival, former MNA Chaudhry Abid Raza Kotla of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), alleging corruption and misconduct during a public gathering in his constituency.

Addressing supporters, Mr Ilyas accused the former lawmaker of benefiting financially from development projects and claimed that commissions were taken from various contracts. Although he initially avoided mentioning his rival by name, his remarks were widely understood to be directed at Chaudhry Abid Raza Kotla.

The PML-Q legislator alleged that large sums were earned through development schemes and questioned the integrity of his political opponent. He also made a series of critical remarks regarding the former MNA's public image and conduct.

Defending his own performance, Mr Ilyas said that all development projects carried out under his tenure had been completed transparently and without corruption.

“Alhamdulillah, our record is clean and not a single rupee of corruption has been committed in the projects we have undertaken,” he told the gathering.

No immediate response from Chaudhry Abid Raza Kotla or the PML-N leadership was available regarding the allegations at the time of filing this report.

The exchange reflects the intensifying political rivalry in Gujrat ahead of future political contests, with leaders from both sides continuing to trade accusations over governance and development issues.
