Metro53 - Gujranwala (Web Desk) — Residents of Gujranwala appeared to ignore government austerity directives as a wedding event near Chachhar Wali turned into a spectacle of cash distribution.
According to details, the groom’s brothers threw both local and foreign currency during the مراسم at a marriage hall. Along with cash, flower garlands were also tossed into the air.
A video of the incident has surfaced, showing large crowds gathering outside the wedding hall. People arrived carrying nets and continued collecting money being thrown from inside the venue.
Hundreds of individuals can be seen scrambling for both local and foreign currency outside the hall, with many reportedly traveling from distant areas to take part.
The situation caused severe traffic congestion, with long queues of vehicles forming for several hours in the area.
The wedding procession belonged to Chand Bajwa, a resident of Dera Bajwa, whose baraat had arrived at the marriage hall near Chachhar Wali.
