Metro53 - LAHORE (Web Desk): Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Punjab Chief Organiser Alia Hamza was arrested in Lahore, according to media reports.
Reports said that she was taken into custody from her residence in the provincial capital, where she had arrived to meet her family. پولیس officials reportedly shifted her to an undisclosed location following the arrest.
No official statement has yet been issued by authorities regarding the reasons or circumstances of the detention.
It is pertinent to note that Alia Hamza had previously been convicted in multiple cases related to the May 9 riots Pakistan and was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment in each case.
