Metro53 - Jhelum (Web Desk):On the directives of District Police Officer Jhelum, Tariq Aziz Sandhu, Jhelum Police continued a series of special search operations and checkpoints across the district to curb criminal and anti-social elements.
According to police, search operations were carried out at 13 different locations across the district, during which 190 houses and 380 individuals were checked. The operations aimed to prevent terrorism, curb criminal activities, and further strengthen the security of sensitive installations.
During the search operations, citizens were verified through a police application, while strict checking was conducted at special checkpoints set up at the city’s entry and exit points. Police also took effective measures to arrest proclaimed offenders, criminals, and anti-social elements.
DPO Jhelum Tariq Aziz Sandhu stated that the purpose of these search operations is to curb illegal weapons and narcotics, suppress criminal elements, and prevent miscreants from carrying out unlawful activities. He emphasized that such operations will continue without discrimination to ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property.
