Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk):During an ongoing crackdown against criminal elements on the directives of the District Police Officer Gujrat, Civil Lines Police carried out a successful operation and arrested four members of the “Aliya Moda” theft gang involved in house burglaries and theft incidents.
According to police, the arrested suspects were identified as Ali Raza son of Tariq Mahmood, Umar son of Tariq Mahmood, Suleman alias Sallu son of Muhammad Arif, and Rashid alias Rashida. Initial investigations revealed that the suspects were involved in multiple incidents of breaking into houses and stealing household goods and valuable items.
Police also recovered stolen property on the identification of the accused. Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects, and further investigations are underway, while the scope of inquiry has been expanded to determine their involvement in other possible crimes.
The DPO Gujrat appreciated the successful operation of Civil Lines Police and stated that indiscriminate action against criminal elements will continue to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
