Metro53 - GUJRAT: District Police Officer (DPO) Gujrat, Akhtar Farooq, carried out a surprise inspection of Kunjah Police Station to review administrative and operational affairs.
During the visit, the DPO inspected the front desk, lock-up facilities, malkhana (property room), record room and other sections of the police station. He also examined official records and sought updates on the progress of ongoing investigations.
Akhtar Farooq directed police officers to ensure that investigations are conducted strictly on merit, with transparency and in accordance with legal requirements. He emphasized the importance of providing timely justice to citizens and maintaining professional standards in all aspects of police work.
The DPO also reviewed cleanliness, discipline and security arrangements at the station. He instructed concerned officials to ensure that visitors and complainants are treated with courtesy, dignity and respect, and that their grievances are addressed on a priority basis.
He reiterated that improving public service delivery and strengthening trust between the police and the community remain key priorities of Gujrat Police.
